1. Who is John Garang de Mabior?

He was the first Vice president of Sudan. Also he was a former leader of the rebel Sudan People Liberation army.

2. Who are the Dinka people of Sudan?

The Dinka are a group of several closely related peoples living in southern Sudan along both sides of the White Nile.

3. What is the SPLM/A?

Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army, the political organization and army of Sudanese rebels formed in 1983, of which John Garang de Mabior .

4. Describe the incidents, events, and developments of the genocide in Sudan?

Some of the incident was a lot of Innocent were killed over this. They was only people who lived in Sudan. Also that means that not only the killing in the war but the people who was not in it.

5.Pan-Afrikanism is the unity of different Afrikan people and different Afrikan nations. How would this type of unity benefit Sudan?

I think that it would benefit in Sudan because it is peace. Also when you have unity you should not think of war. Many people don't believe in peace but every one need some unity.

The Congo homework

1. What events led to the outbreak of war in the DR Congo?

One event that led to the out break is the Rwanda war coming over. Therefore Congo was part of Rwanda. Also many young boys and girls were hiding because they might get killed or beaten. Most of the young men were afraid to be seen because they might be forced to fight in the war. Some kids were walking around without food.

2. How many have died in this war? Over what time frame has the deaths taken place? What countries and ethnic groups are involved?

There was 2 million people who died in 2 wars. The time frame was 4 months. The 4 month was mostly when people who died. The ethic groups were African Americans. The countries were Africa.

3. What do you think can happen to stop the war/genocide in Congo?

I believe that the government should do something. . They should have a back up plan. Also the should get a new president since the last one was murdered.

One factor is that the president of Hutu airplane was shot down on April 6, 1994. Also a french judge blame the current president of Tutsi for the rocket attack. A man Kagame disagrees he said "it was the work of the Hutu extremists to prove they can protect a well laid community". The main factor was the death of the Hutu president.

There were estimate of 800,ooo the were killed in 100 days. The time frame is the President of Hutu death. Most of the Hutu people were killed. Two million of the Hutu people move to Zaire.

Some of the after effect was that was that the RPF captured Kagila.The government collapsed and the RPF cease fire. So there for the RPF were victorious. Later Bizimunga was sentence to got tho jail therefore Kagame became president.
